Fanfic for the Fearless:

Harry Potter

I swore I would never do LitFic.  Swore it.   MEANT IT.  And then I discovered Harry Potter.  Well, more specifically, I discovered Severus Snape, Remus Lupin, and Sirius Black, among others.

So, with gulping bravery and a feeling of having *still* done something quite, quite against my principles, I present my small collection of Potterfic.

Which is mostly about Snape.  Or Remus.  Or Sirius.  ADULT CONTENT LISTED BELOW.

  • Harry Potter:  "Dark Avatar"   (June 2004)
You know, I always thought it'd be fun to do a kind of police procedural mystery in the Hogwarts setting, and here 'tis.  A crime is committed, Professors Snape and McGonagall investigate, and a plot is uncovered not against Gryffindor for a change, but Slytherin ...
  • Harry Potter:  "A Memory of Ashes"  (June 2004)
written for the nativity of the lovely and immensely talented sivib626 ... An unapologetic O.C. love for Snape, in the person of the Potions Master of Hogwarts that Voldemort wants dead.  And the palliative uses of the Pensieve.
  • Harry Potter:   "Standing in Shadow"  (May 2004)
Snape walks into a nest of evil with open eyes, then finds that he may be the only hope of survival for one of his students ... if he can find it in himself to risk everything.

ADULT CONTENT!  Warning!!!

  • Harry Potter:  "Alternate Moonlight"  (July 2004)
It's the fault of AnnieSJ and Circe_Tigana and Queenmab_223, who DOUBLE-DAWG-DARED ME to remix "Experiments In Moonlight" and make it a Remus/Snape story.  Who are, quite possibly even more damaged and flawed and messy and imperfect together than Remus/Sirius.  Slash.  Adult content.  Standard disclaimers apply.  Not valid in all states.  Batteries may be required.  <g>

  • Harry Potter:  "Memoria Incarnatum"  (July 2004)
It's not Queen Mab's fault this time, it's mine.  I loved writing Remus and Sirius so much, I had to do it again.  This is a post-Order of the Phoenix story, about lovers lost, and memories made flesh.  It's slash.  Really.  Adult content.  I'm not kidding.  Consider yourself properly cautioned.

  • Harry Potter:  "Experiments in Moonlight"  (June 2004)
    Queen Mab
kinda dared me to write a Remus/Sirius story.  I was intrigued.   I don't write slash -- like, *ever* -- but these characters somehow spoke to me, damaged and imperfect and messy and full of passion as they are.  Flawed heroes get me every time.  So ... it's slash.  And there's adult content.  Caveat emptor. -- oh, and by the way?  I enjoyed it.
